VP Yemi Osinbajo, on Sunday, announced that Nigeria’s opportunity was at the entryway.
He said this in his message to residents at the 59th Independence Day Church Service at the National Christian Center. in Abuja.
Osinabjo stated: “God had guaranteed, through the mouths of His confided in prophets, that He is giving us a New Nigeria! May I report to you today that God is prepared to bring us into the Promised Land, the new Nigeria.
“Also, we should recall that God, the Almighty God is the manufacturer of countries, that God controls the fates of countries and its kin. Songs 24:1 says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its totality. The world and the individuals who abide in that.”
“God guaranteed the offspring of Israel that He would take them from servitude, enduring and bondage into the Promised Land, a land streaming with milk and nectar.
“By the hand of Joshua, God carried His guarantee to pass. They got to the Jordan and as their feet contacted the water, the Jordan was isolated and they strolled on dry land the whole way across the Jordan.
“They got to Jericho, a well-invigorated city and they didn’t shoot a shot, they cut down the dividers of Jericho by a yell. From that point, when they were going to take the Promised Land after Moses had asked that some proceed to spy out the land, a portion of the individuals who went to spy said that it is difficult to take the city, difficult to enter the Promised Land. Nonetheless, Caleb and Joshua had an alternate soul, and they said that since God had guaranteed and on the grounds that He could do it, every one of the issues were simply bread, minor bread to be eaten by the offspring of Israel.
“God has guaranteed us another Nigeria, a tranquil Nigeria, a prosperous Nigeria, a Nigeria where equity and value will win, a unified Nigeria, where the various clans and tongues are not wedges of detachment, yet the blissful surfaces of our harmony. God is prepared to satisfy His guarantee.
“We remain outside the new city, the Promised Land, the new Nigeria; like the covert operatives sent by Moses to spy out the Promised Land, some are stating, “Ha! It is inconceivable, Nigeria can’t change, the ethnic and religious divisions are excessively profound, debasement can’t end, government officials are too narrow minded and underhanded.”
“However, as Caleb and Joshua, we pronounce that these issues are simply bread for us, we will enter the Promised Land! The new Nigeria is here, and all of us, our families, our companions, we all, will eat the charming products of this land.
“God Almighty has removed the assurance of the foes of this country. He has removed their forces, the commotion we hear, the choppiness we experience, are the last pants of a crushed adversary. The day of opportunity is at the entryway.
“Similarly as with Abraham, we in the expressions of Hebrews 11:10 hang tight for the new Nigeria, which has establishments, whose manufacturer and creator is God.
“As we pause, we proclaim in the expressions of Psalms 46:8-11 – “Come, see crafted by the Lord, who has made devastations on the earth. He makes wars stop as far as possible of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the lance in two; He consumes the chariot in the flame. Be still and realize that I am God! I will be lifted up among the countries, I will be magnified in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our asylum.”
